Woodjam

Woodjam is the Annual Scout Patrol Competition Camp of the Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton Scout District.

Patrols from the ExBud District and our guests, 1st Ottery St Mary, take part is a series of activities over the weekend on which they are scored. The winning patrol gets to add their name to John Radford Pendant and display this in their HQ until Woodjam the following year.

Activities can include a Climbing Wall, Orienteering, Prusiking (rope climbing), Axemanship, Fire Lighting, Backwoods Cooking, Emergency Shelters, Observation, Spiders Web, Rope Making, Pioneering, Missile building, Blindfold Tent Pitching and often a Mystery!

Recent Winners

Woodjam 2025 was held over the weekend of the 2nd – 4th May 2025 and was attended by 12 patrols from Exmouth, Lympstone, Woodbury and Ottery St. Mary. Congratulations to 2025 winners – 1st Ottery St Mary Patrol A.

Woodjam 2026

Woodjam 2026 is being held over the weekend of 1st – 3rd May 2026 and will be attended by all Troops from the ExBud District and our guests 1st Ottery St. Mary.
