Scout Troops from across the District will take part in a Dartmoor Activity Camp in July.
Scout Network (ages 18-25)
If you’re 18 to 25 and still want to enjoy your Scouting you can by joining Scout Network. As a Scout Network Member you get to take part in all the usual great Scouting activities such as kayaking, climbing, orienteering… as well as work on projects helping to support you local community.
You can also, if you choose, get more closely involved in working with the younger Sections and providing them with the same kind of opportunities you’ve had through Scouting.
Scout Network programmes will reflect the huge variation in Members’ interests. One of the key elements is the opportunity to get away, either under canvas or in other accomodation.
The district network reformed in late 2017 and currently meet weekly on Monday nights and is actively recruiting new members.
Network members plan their programme quarterly allowing them to actively find out what everyone wants to get out of network, and provides the freedom to do as many different things as possible.
Plans are afoot for future network camping trips, and the Network hope to attend and help out at district camps and events.
The Network is headed up by our Youth Commissioner, Alex Britton. Please contact us for more information.
